If you've seen my audio, or just seen any of my channel stuff around, you might have noticed that I changed my profile picture on both Newgrounds and YouTube.
Whilst I'm mainly a pixel art creator, my designs aren't always the best, and so I felt that my current logo was a little poor in comparison to other things I've made. Recently, I updated another one of my projects which was also pixel art too, so this new design is somewhat based on this transition.
Previously, every logo I've made has been in a bitmap format (pixels), but I've recently been moving to vectors instead, as this allows me to make things like a perfectly straight line or round circle with theoretically infinite resolution, meaning that I don't have to worry about updating the image if I'm changing resolution in the future, and it allows me to embed an image that updates resolution with scale in any HTML based apps or websites I make.
The new logo is based on the old one, but I switched the eyes to be straight lines which I took from originally making half of a triangle wave, as well as changing the mouth to a circle rather than a square. Despite changing to vectors, I kept the black-and-white LCD style as I still like to work a lot with retro tech, and ultimately it just looks like a Game & Watch rather than a Game Boy or calculator now.
I feel like it could do with some tweaks, so don't expect this to be the final version! If you have any feedback, feel free to comment! (please be constructive though)
One thing I meant by it's not perfect is that I kinda feel like the lines could have a little more width. I'll try and change it if I can, but that's probably a project for another day so this probably won't be updated soon.
